As you can see I missed the boat on this years Unduk Ngadau. But if you have been living under a rock here is this years result : Winners of Unduk Ngadau 2012
My comment on this years Unduk Ngadau? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Have you guys seen the ladies representing Sabah for this years Miss Malaysia Earth contest?
Oh, they look good even without makeup.
The standard has shot up the roof! Looks wise, total babes.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any videos of any of these beautiful ladies talking and telling us how environmentally conscious they are (not that it would matter much) Jokes, I joke! Of course ladies this beautiful should be able to piece together an intelligent sentence or two and people, if they do then they are a shoo in to win!
How can they not be? I mean look at them! In my humble opinion if we don’t get at least the top 3 spots in Nationals then at least the top 2 will be from Sabah.
Gerenti. Don’t forget you heard it here first. Ahbuthen?
Well, if your still reading up to here I guess you would be interested in a short breakdown of the contestants then 🙂
Winner – Joanna Marie Faurillo, 20. (Who is also the oldest out of the 4 winners)
She also won three subsidiary titles — Miss Sutera Facebook Favourite, Miss Talent and Miss Natural Beauty
Here is her performance for the talent section singing ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ by Alicia Keys
First Runner Up – Deidre Ann Walker, 18. (My personal favorite)
She won a subsidiary title of ‘Most Favorite Performance’ (check out the video below to know why)
I think it’s a Tahitian dance, although her movements are not as smooth as I think it should be. I gotta give her points for trying and the enthusiasm that went it. Gotta hand it to the girl, perfect dance to catch peoples attention. It has to do with those hips and the smile, that smile!
Second Runner Up – Grace Chang Siew Ling, 19.
This, I have to say is a very bad performance. Out of pitch and way out of time with the music. But what she lacks in musical prowess the lady can take a good photo.
Third Runner Up – Xandria Ban Kah Yee, 18
She also won a subsidiary title of ‘Best Talent Costume’
Personally, I prefer the dance performances then singing. She performed a contemporary dance (Chinese fusion performance if I’m not mistaken according to one of the event organisers blog)
